Rates among Black residents are 2-3 times higher than the rate among white, non-Hispanic residents in Pierce County.


This isn't, however, because of the color of our skin,  but rather pre-existing health inequities in our area. 

Black and Healthy Pierce County is working to decrease the spread of COVID-19 in our community through sharing information and resources, fostering community conversations and collaborating with local black businesses and community partners to help spread the word and flatten the curve.
